The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially released the short notification for the RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 under CEN No. 02/2026. Through this recruitment drive, the board aims to fill 6,565 Technician vacancies across various Railway zones in India.
The online application process will begin on 30 June 2026 and will remain open until 29 July 2026. Selection Process
The selection process for the RRB Technician vacancies is broken down into the following structured stages:
- Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) * Single or multiple-stage objective type online written test.
- Negative marking of 1/3rd mark applies for every wrong answer.
- Stage 2: Document Verification (DV)
- Shortlisted candidates based on CBT normalization and merit are called to present original documents.
- Stage 3: Medical Examination
- Medical fitness clearance conforming to specific railway medical standards (A-3, B-1, B-2, or C-1 depending on the post allocated).
- Final Merit List
- Final selection panel prepared upon qualifying both the DV and Medical stages.
